Crossing the road in Hanoi can be daunting. You have to step into the road and walk across the oncoming traffic while it swirls around you. Pedestrian crossings are meaningless, and even traffic lights have limited success at controlling traffic.
These two pictures were taken as I was walking across the road. You can clearly see the oncoming traffic.
That's probably what happens when you stand in the middle of the road taking photos, lol!
